Inyeon Consulting
“Inyeon” (인연) is a Korean term that means we were destined to meet; that our relationship carries significance across many lifetimes. I carry this philosophy into my consulting: Our partnership is more than a coincidence, it is a meaningful relationship aligned by purpose.
Blending lived experience, research, and best practices together, I bring highly specialized skills related to diversity and equity, leadership development, organizational change management, as well as shared power and co-governance models.
About Kara
I have a doctorate in education and organizational leadership, along with over 10 years of nonprofit leadership experience as well as experience working in government spaces. I bring expertise in adult learning, program development and evaluation, mentorship and coaching, and organizational change management.
I developed a consulting business after seeing a need for real and sustainable systems change - if we are going to be better leaders, we need to re-imagine what that looks like. My goal is to replace equity programs with structures that truly support individuals, create curricula that encourages personal growth and vulnerability, and to create space for everyone to show up authentically. I believe that we are all connected, and we are shaped by the systems that exist around us. To be good leaders, we must not just understand ourselves, but understand how and why we are shaped by our environment.
Outside of work, I am a mother to a daughter. I love to be outdoors; camping, hiking, and swimming are all ways that I can reconnect with myself, nature, and reset.
